Hey everyone! Here is my third installment of the Paranormal Lounge Christmas series. Today I want to talk to you about DECORATIONS! Yes. I am a decorating FREAK! I love to decorate, but unfortunately, my husband won't let me put a paranormal twist on our Christmas decorations, so I'm going to relay my ideas to you! Take 'em or leave 'em!
Idea #1: Dip your glass or plastic balls that hang on the tree into some bright red wax to give them a bloody look. Just hang them up somewhere for a few minutes to let them dry. I'd try to use a harder wax than candle wax. I'm sure you can find that at a craft store. Just make sure the lights on your tree are LED so they don't get hot!
Idea #2: Integrate some of your Halloween decorations into your Christmas decor. You can put little tombstones under your tree and make a grave yard. You can even make our own Christmas themed ones with some make-and-bake clay. Some that say, "Here lies Ebenezer Scrooge" or something along those lines.
Idea #3: Decorate your tree with only white lights and glittery spikes and swirls. It will look like magic! Hey, my husband might actually let me do that one! It may not be overtly paranormal, but you will know what it is and that's all that matters!

In the second Paranomal Lounge Christmas Post, I'd like to tell you all that even though it says "Christmas" in the title, you can still do these things for other holidays that you may be celebrating this time of year. This time of year is about being kind to those around you. It's not about who's holiday is best or whether we should say Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas or whatever.
It's about telling the people you care about that you love them. So today's thing you can do to spread the holiday spirit with a paranormal twist is to send out a Happy Holidays email to all your friends who love paranormal books and movies as much as you do. you can also post to twitter and facebook.

I was born around 6am on Christmas day back in 1987. My mother brought me home in a stocking. Yeah. She still has it too and she tells me every year, "You were my Christmas present that year."
So, sometihng about being born on Christmas just makes me have a special connection to that day. You'd think I would hate Christmas since my birthday gets pushed aside for the biggest holiday of the year, but no. I love Christmas.
Even though it's become quite the commercial holiday, I still think there is hope for Christmas. This month I will be periodically posting things you can do to enhance your Christmas non-commercially while adding a paranormal twist!
So the first thing you can do that is totaly free and therefore non-commercial, is pick up A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This story takes Christmas and throws in a little paranormal with the three ghosts. It's a classic and it was written in only 6 weeks.
